Basildon parkrun starts 5 April 2014

We are delighted to announce the launch of Basildon parkrun on 5th April 2014, 9am at Northlands Park, Basildon.

We hope you'll be able to join us for the launch and a coffee afterwards.

London Marathon Coaches

The coach will leave Benfleet Station car park, School Lane, Benfleet @ 6:30am SHARP.

If you are not there on time the coach will leave without you

Please see me before getting on the coach so I can tick your name off the list and also notify me if you are not on the returning journey home.

Please do not leave belongings on the coach.

I will give out instructions on the day for the post race meeting point prior to boarding the coach.

Club Marathon Training Run 16th March

The Club Marathon Training Run

Sunday 16th March 2014

This is an event run for CLUB MEMBERS only,

and will be your last long training run before the London Marathon

 (or any other marathon)

You can run up to a distance of 22 miles.

i.e. you can run any distance you prefer, up to the full total of 22 miles.

You can elect to do any distance you feel comfortable with,

or a distance that your coach has suggested would be beneficial to your training schedule.

This is your run.

It is your chance to do all the things in practice before the big day.

run the distance you want to, and the pace you have decided.

The route this year will start/finish at Rayleigh Cricket Ground, 

a short distance from Clive's house, where this route starts.

Rayleigh Cricket Ground, Rawreth Lane, Rayleigh, SS11 8SP

and the gates will be open from 8am

Groups will then be set-off at intervals up to the fastest pace group at around 8:30am

so please arrive in good time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Will all of you who have volunteered to drive and all runners taking part in the Ultra please be at the cricket pavilion in Rawreth Lane by 8.15 on Sunday morning. You will be allocated as a team, driver and runners and given a map should you need one.

Parking. ​There is a car park available for use on the day – See map

​We would however encourage people to share cars as far as possible

 

Toilets. ​There will be portaloos available in the car park

 

Entry Fee. The entry fee will be £2 per person

The Kirste 5 Entry System 2014

The Kirste 5 Memorial Race online entry opens today, and we need to fill the marshal lists before club members can enter, plus we'll run the route at Club the week before anyway so no need to race it - you'll get so much more out of the race if you're part of it marshalling and helping.

As each year the race gets bigger we need all Club Members to help out all day now, so won't be accepting race entries from Club Members at the moment.

If we get enough marshalls we will offer a few places to those marshalls on the list, by running a ballot for places.
