Brian's funeral

Brian's funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday 1st July at Pitsea Crematorium. In accordance with Brian's style I am suggesting club colours or smart/casual. We will be going to the Anchor in Benfleet afterwards.

I am asking for flowers from the family, and donations to the Kirste 5 fund, which will go to the Breast Cancer unit at Southend hospital.

Thanks once again for all your love and friendship, it has really helped.

11th June Track CANCELLED

* EASTWOOD TRACK SESSION 11TH JUNE *

Unfortunately we have been advised this afternoon that we are unable to use the track tomorrow morning for either the adult or junior club sessions so please don't turn up at the track. 

I will be running the adult session at John Burrows playing fields instead still from 9-10am.

The Kirste Curry Night is a traditional event,

The Kirste Curry Night is a traditional event, held on the last Wednesday before race day, and not only allows all the hard-working Race Team to unwind and have a break, but also raises funds for our two charities and is a great social event.
As this year is our 5th Anniversary, we have two special Social Events in the weeks before the race.

--- Saturday 9th July 3pm-10pm
1st Annual BBQ and fun day.
Adults £10.00, Children £8.00 (covers all food)

--- Wednesday 20th July 2016
Kirste Mexican Night, at Panchos, Rayleigh.
Adults £20.00, Children £5.00
of which 50% goes back to the Kirste Charities.
(2 courses, fixed menu choice -
a 10% service charge will be added to the total bill)

Tuesday 7th June session update

Hopefully we will see as many of the BRC Family down the club for Tuesday evening as possible ...

After the pre-run talk I would like to invite everyone to come together down the Hoy to celebrate Brian's life and the love we shared for him.

Either join us directly after the talk, or after the club session. Everyone is welcome and would love to hear all your Brian stories ...

This is quite possibly the hardest post that I'll ever have to write and it really doesn't seem fitting for what I am about to say, but is, however, the best way to reach out to you all together.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I tell you the saddest of news.

Our dear family member, Brian Lunt,  suffered a fatal heart attack this morning.

Our only consolation at this tragic time is, the doctors believe it was instant, so he didn't suffer or indeed realise what was happening.

It goes without saying that our thoughts, prayers & love are with Bobby and the families at this terrible time. 

Until Bobby has had a chance to comprehend what has happened, she would ask you please to respect her privacy for the time being. Much love to you all. Sarah Norton
